In a new format for the ETUG physical conference, there was a World Cafe session held after lunch on the first day of the conference, with all participants visiting all five “tables”.
The individual tables were dedicated to five different topics:
- Pre-translation with MT and TMs, revision vs post-editing.
- Terminology and MT
- Connectivity
- Studio plugins to increase productivity
- Quality management
The format saw participants moving being tables every 15 mins, with remarks captured on butcher’s paper to and each iteration adding to the previous discussion. The moderators then delivered the main highlights from the discussions to the entire audience. It seemed to be a well-received approach and hopefully will establish itself at future editions of ETUG.
